Jia Morado Biography

Jia Morado-De Guzman is a renowned Filipino volleyball player known for her role as a setter. She played for the Ateneo Lady Eagles and served as the team’s captain during the UAAP Season 79 Women’s Volleyball tournament. Jia has been a consistent member of the Philippines Women’s National Volleyball Team since 2015.

Her volleyball career includes numerous accolades, such as winning the Best Setter award at the 2012 Palarong Pambansa and leading her team to a championship. She also participated in the 2015 Asian Women’s U23 Volleyball Championship and the 2015 Southeast Asian Games.

In a significant move, Jia signed with the Denso Airybees of the Japan V.League Division 1 as their Asian import for the 2023-2024 season, becoming the first Filipina setter to play in the Japan V.League.
